Nkasi Okafor has recently joined Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Mackauf, Bloom and Rubinowitz. Her work thus far focuses primarily on medical malpractice and personal injury. Prior to joining the firm she worked as a post-doctorate fellow at Columbia Law School’s National State Attorneys General Program, where she researched the constitutionality of the health care reform law. Since graduating Columbia Law School in 2005, Nkasi has served as a staff member and voting rights attorney with Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, received a Legal Aid Society award for her public interest service, and worked as an associate at Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, LLP. She holds an AB from Duke University in both History and Public Policy.
