The firm’s
founder, Harry A. Gair, was known as the dean of personal injury
lawyers, and in his day, was one of the best-known teachers and
lecturers in the field. Self-taught, he authored hundreds of
incisive papers and leading texts on trial advocacy, and dedicated
hours of distinguished service to the New York Bar. Since Harry
Gair’s death in 1975, when Robert L. Conason took over as the firm’s
leader, GGCS&M has maintained its outstanding reputation in the
practice of plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation. While the
practice of law has substantially evolved since the days when Harry
Gair tried a case, the firm’s unyielding philosophy of selectivity
and personal attention has remained constant.
