New York Lawyer Robert L. Conason
The senior partner, he took over from
founder Harry Gair in 1975. Like many of the firm's attorneys, he
joined the firm upon graduation from law school in 1960.
Consistently ranked one of the top personal injury lawyers in
America, Robert Conason's extensive experience over four decades
includes representing clients who have been injured in catastrophic
accidents involving motor vehicles,
airplanes, construction sites,
elevators, explosions, medical malpractice and
products liability.
As a successful and reputable
trial attorney, Mr. Conason appreciates the dedication and
individualized attention each case demands and every injured person
deserves. Accordingly, in terms of the volume of cases accepted, he
has advanced the firm on the philosophy that less is more and
assists in the careful selection of only the most serious and
substantial personal injury cases: "My satisfaction comes from
knowing that absent a successful recovery of a claim, our clients
wouldn't have the ability to secure appropriate medical care and
equipment, economic freedom and the ability to live a dignified
life."
With equal attention, Mr. Conason
assigns matters to the firm's trial attorneys according to their
individual areas of expertise. As the firm's leader, however, he
maintains a "hands on" approach and remains intimately familiar with
each and every case as it proceeds through all phases of litigation.
A strong believer in sharing his
knowledge and giving back to the legal community, he routinely
chairs local and national programs designed to educate lawyers on
the skills they need to represent their clients effectively and try
their cases successfully. Among his many teaching credits is his
annual "Decisions" lecture, which advises New York lawyers about
recent changes in the substantive and procedural law in the area of
personal injury trial practice. Robert Conason
co-author
Warren's Negligence in the New York Courts, Second Edition published by LexisNexis Matthew Bender.
He is a member of many premier bar
associations including: the America College of Trial Lawyers, the
Inner Circle of Advocates, the American
Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, a
diplomat of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a fellow of
the American College of Trial Lawyers, numerous state bar
associations and was an adjunct Professor of Law at NYU teaching
courses in his field.. Repeatedly listed in Best Lawyers in
America, he's been named an outstanding advocate in New York
magazine's article on "The Best Lawyers in New York."
